I am superficial. At least when it comes to things I see and smell. When I first saw Patricia Piccinini’s sculptures, I was grossed out. But on the second look they managed to make me feel in the same time sorry for them and feel comforted by their calm facial expressions. I guess that’s what pretty much everyone’s reaction is to her work.
