This is way beyond ridiculous. I thought twice, no gazillion times before even starting to write this post. Should I acknowledge kitsch and lack of taste and creativity? Of course not, but having a good laugh over ridiculous fashion collections is always in.

So here is our guy, James Long with his latest Spring/Summer collection for 2012. Welcome to the jungle boys – you will be wearing snake prints, shiny pants, patchwork leather jackets, lederhosen that are maybe yes, maybe not made of snake skin and sweaters in ridiculous olive-ochre-white-ish colors. I kid you not, James Long is all about the snake experience next summer, which, if you were a gypsy pimp, a member of the Jersey Shore cast or an Italian tourist, wouldn’t be a problem.

However, snake prints appear really acceptable as opposed to what’s happening on the models’ feet. There James borrowed an inspiration from the otherwise rather fashion-wise uninspiring Germans. I present you sandals with socks. You know how much I hate those, so you tell Siri that if I see you rocking an outfit like those in the gallery below, I’m gonna slap you really hard.

Except that the Italian tourist should come from the south and living in a perennial lack of taste, i don´t know why or for what strange reason Mr. Lang decided to take this orrible use of “some” germans to wear socks with sandals. Also apparently he was kindly careful in his observing the germans since he also chose this “badly washed” kind of color (or beige, café au lait, sand or whatever, maybe vomit) really loved by “sandals with socks” wearers
